The women then become aggressive and use tall stairs called lathis to defeat the men, who defend themselves with shields.
Mathura is the birthplace of Lord Krishna, in the Braj region. In Vrindavan, this day is celebrated with special rituals and the traditional custom of worshiping Lord Krishna; The festival lasts for sixteen days.
