Good morning to all my respected teachers, parents and dear friends. We have gathered here to celebrate this great national event. As we all know that Independence is an auspicious occasion for all of us. India’s Independence is the most important for all Indian citizens and it has been mentioned forever in history. We got freedom from British rule after many years of hard struggle by the great freedom fighters of India.
We celebrate Independence Day on 15 August every year to commemorate the India’s independence, as well as the sacrifices of the great leaders who sacrificed their lives in providing independence to India.
On 15 August, India gained independence from British rule in 1547. After independence, we got all our basic rights in our nation, our motherland. We all should feel proud to be an Indian and praise our destiny that we were born on the land of an independent India. The history of slave India tells everything about how our ancestors and forefathers worked hard and faced all the cruel behavior of the British.
We cannot sit here and imagine how difficult independence for India from British rule was. It sacrificed the lives of many freedom fighters and many decades of struggle from 1857 to 1947. An Indian soldier (Mangal Pandey) in the British Army first raised a voice against the British for the independence of India.
